An exceptionally rare and beautifully sculptural vintage ladies’ wristwatch by Jaeger‑LeCoultre, dating to the 1960s and crafted entirely in solid 18ct gold.

Unlike conventional bracelet watches of the era, this piece was designed as a seamless item of jewellery first and a timepiece second, with the remarkably small mechanical movement discreetly embedded within the flowing integrated bracelet design. The result is an elegant and highly distinctive watch that sits almost like a gold cuff on the wrist.

The softly faceted bracelet links catch the light beautifully and give the piece a very refined mid-century character, while the hidden dial retains a wonderful sense of subtlety and restraint. At approximately 80 grams, it has a notably luxurious feel in the hand and on the wrist, reflecting the level of craftsmanship and precious metal content expected from Jaeger-LeCoultre during this period.

This style of integrated gold bracelet watch was notably favoured by Queen Elizabeth II during the 1960s, making pieces such as this strongly associated with the understated elegance of that era.

A rare and highly collectible vintage Jaeger-LeCoultre that perfectly blurs the line between fine jewellery and haute horlogerie.
