Cartier Tank LM- Rare Brown Marble Dial

A particularly unusual Must de Cartier Tank, presented in the desirable LM large-size case and fitted with a rarely seen brown marble lacquer dial.

The dial is the defining feature of the watch. Finished in a rich chocolate brown, it has a subtle marbled effect beneath the lacquer that changes considerably with the light. At some angles it appears almost black, while at others the warmer brown tones and natural variation in the surface become much more apparent.

Cartier kept the design wonderfully restrained. There are no traditional Roman numerals or minute track, only the gilt must de Cartier signature, double-C monogram and a pair of matching sword hands. It gives the watch a far more minimal appearance than the conventional Tank and makes this particular configuration immediately distinctive.

The gold vermeil case retains the classic Tank proportions, with its elongated brancards and blue cabochon-set crown. In LM size, it has noticeably more presence on the wrist than the smaller Must de Cartier models while remaining slim, elegant and very easy to wear.

Powered by a manually wound Cartier mechanical movement and paired with a deep burgundy textured leather strap, the colours work especially well together.

A rare and beautifully understated variation of the Tank, with one of the more unusual dials produced during the Must de Cartier era. The watch is supplied with our 12-month in-house mechanical warranty.
